2015 has been another great year for fashion. It has been filled with many creative campaigns, shocking reveals and ever changing trends. Before we go into 2016 I wanted to review some of my favourite moments on this year's fashion scene:
PETER LINDBERGH FOR VOGUE
Vogue (USA MARCH 2015) featured a 12 page spread shot by Peter Lindbergh and styled by Grace Coddington. The models wore lace, from Chantily to Broiderie Anglaise. They showcased clothing from Nina Ricci, Neiman Marcus and other designers. The reason I loved this editorial so much was because of the "Picnic At Hanging Rock" inspiration it took. That is one of my favourite books and the 1975 movie is great too.
RIHANNA AS FACE OF DIOR
In March of this year, Rihanna was announced as the new face of DIOR, making her the first woman of colour to have this status. The "Secret Garden" ad campaign followed this announcement. I love Rihanna, I think she is fashionable and talented and I am not surprised that she got this campaign.
YEEZY SEASONS 1 & 2
Yeezy made his debut at New York Fashion week in February this year and made the news again in September, announcing his show dates only 3 days before. This collaboration with adidas originals made a case for hoisery and distressed clothing and made the 'hobo' look more popular.
JOAN DIDION FOR CÉLINE
The author was picked to be the face of CÉLINE earlier this year alongside French ballet dancer Marie-Agnès Gillot and British model Freya Lawrence. I always love when the fashion industry recognises legendary intellectuals. The campaign went viral with Didion looking effortlessly cool
BALMAIN x H&M
Finally, the BALMAIN x H&M collaboration broke the internet in November this year. Promoted by today's biggest fashion models. Olivier Rousteing brought his high end designs to the masses with a bang. I always love the H&M designer collaboration and I can't wait for the one next year!
